Woodlands Webcam Information

The camera is a Wireless WiFi 1080P video camera manufactured by SV3C Technology
It's mounted approximately 10 feet (3 meters) above the ground. The angled majenta bands you see on the top right were caused by two years of the sun passing over the camera sensor. The camera is due to be replaced soon"


The camera produces 1920 X 1080 pixel images.
It's constrained to 1200 x 675 on the Webcam page in order to fit most browser windows.

To assist with determining visibility, the image below shows the distances to two of the tree lines in the distance.




The following image shows the location of Environment Canada's Woodlands radar dome which is 10.8 Km away.
The camera doesn't have the resolution to show the dome normally, but on occasion
the sun will shine on the dome at the same time there are dark clouds behind it on the horizon. This enhances
the white dome making it visible. This image was taken under such conditions.
